Work For Peace Organisation (WFPO) is a Non-profit organisation that works in Faisalabad. Their goal is to promote understanding between Christians and Muslims and also to promote the Gospel in various ways. Their main ministry has been a Primary School (a project sponsored by Anglican Aid), where poor Christian and Muslim children can learn together.
WFPO was started by Imran Maqsood who came to Sydney in 2008. As Imran worked alongside his colleagues in Faisalabad, he became aware of the need to disciple young adults from the Christian community, so that they could become more confident in their faith and have a good grounding in the Bible.
The Centre for Global Mission has partnered with Work For Peace Organisation, providing them with theological resources. As a result of this partnership they have launched English PTC classes in Faisalabad, using the Moore College PTC material in English. Pray for the young adults being discipled through this program.
