Tumaini Ministries Center are working in Korogocho, one of the largest slum neighbourhoods of Nairobi, Kenya. They are committed to training pastors and planting churches in Korogocho and the surrounding areas. They have historically been helped a great deal by Australians but have now moved towards local leadership – partnering with the Centre for Global Mission has been part of that transition for them. They work entirely locally and by word-of-mouth.
The Centre for Global Mission has provided Tumaini Ministries Center with theological training material and online tools. They are using these resources to provide access to theological education online and offline. They are currently using the Moore College PTC material in English and Swahili. There are ongoing translations of the PTC material into Swahili.
