Kajo‑Keji Christian College was established in 1993 (formerly known as ‘Canon Benaiah Poggo College’). The college trains church leaders for the Dioceses of the Sudan and other denominations in order to meet the tremendous growth of the Church in Sudan. The college has endured hardships having been displaced by civil war, moving to Northern Uganda in 1994, then relocating to Kajo‑Keji in South Sudan in 2008. In January 2017, due to fighting in Kajo‑Keji, the college was forced to close. With thanks to the Diocese of Mahdi West Nile, Uganda, and some impressive reorganisation, the Kajo‑Keji Diocese and the College have been enabled to find new temporary accommodation in Moyo, North Uganda. The college restarted teaching in this new location at the beginning of March 2017. Since then, it has grown considerably and has expanded the courses it offers. The college has a very good track record in training pastors and former students are now functioning in key roles in the South Sudan church.
The Centre for Global Mission has partnered with Kajo‑Keji Christian College providing theological resources to assist with their curriculum. KCC lecturers are using these resources in their preparation for teaching classes in their Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor programmes. They are using the Moore College PTC material in English.
