Ongoing opportunities for translation
Thanks to the work of many people over many years, the Centre for Global Mission inherited previous translations of the PTC material. We are continuing this vital work and have begun new translation projects with some of our partners.
The diagram below shows the languages that have PTC translations and the percentage of the world’s population covered by these languages. Whilst much has already been achieved, there are plenty of opportunities for further translations. We regularly receive many requests for new translations and we are only limited by funding and finding the right people with skills for translating, including experience with html format.
Translating PTC Notes
Translating Moore College’s PTC Notes
The PTC began as a training course for Christian lay people in Sydney in the 1940s. The course is focused on biblical and theological content and the material is available in printed books and in an interactive online format (Moodle).
The Centre for Global Mission is offering these resources (PTC notes and online format) to our international partners, so that they can either give their own awards for the course as it is; or incorporate this material as part of a larger suite of ministry training tools.
